This home grown mystical land lies beyond Swansea, beyond Carmarthen in the western part of Wales.

I spent a week walking parts of the flower-lined coastal path, past secluded coves and the wide sweeping bay of Newgale. I visited Welsh chapels and a cathedral, a derelict slate mine and a thriving woollen mill. There were wild ponies with long tangled manes and gypsy horses with great feathery fetlocks.

Pembrokeshire is a special place for me. I lived there once a long long time ago.
